Merewood Country House Hotel

No words to describe how I really enjoyed staff and location. The property had its own a la carte restaurant from the one meal I had in the restaurant-recommend eating there, it was nice.

The venue is big and clean with a good value and pleasant staff. Fab location, a short walk to a lake District hill. 10 minutes' walk to the bus stop. Spacious room, extremely comfy bed and fairly clean bathroom.

Thank you for a lovely stay for a wedding. The units are bright, gorgeous with a view.

Truly exceptional hotel, attentive and knowledgeable staff, gorgeous location on top of a hill. The bed was comfy, the room was bright and huge with views.

It made our trip to Windermere a fantastic experience. Pleasant staff and food, we appreciated this small hotel. The room was outstanding with a view and had an electric kettle, an individual safe and central heating.

This place was traditional and had fine stuff and location, I loved it.

The staff was professional and the views were absolutely superb. Actually everything was very clean, my next choice again in Windermere.

We enjoyed almost every detail, including food and staff. And it also had absolutely brilliant view. Unique hotel in lovely area. It was near Hayes Garden World Ambleside. The restaurant was amazing and offered cool dishes. The gardens were lovely here.

Secluded location, delightful breakfast, brilliant staff. The best thing is location - near to the Lake and Ambleside.

Stunning design, dedicated staff, absolutely perfect location. The a la carte restaurant was pleasant with plenty of meals in the menu. The main bar was elegant and the drinks were bottled. Could use their free parking.

optimal location, outstanding value. excellent service, compact room, lovely bed. the beach was excellent. moreover, it was 5 km from a lake district hill. hotel was neat.

Fresh breakfast, really handy location and useful staff. I loved a unique decor and contemporary furniture. Easy walk to the wonderful beach. Apart from that, ambleside pier was 10 minutes' drive away. The beds were incredibly large, and it was good value.

It was a fairly nice experience overall. Everything was just perfect and fairly clean, I loved staff and location. Animal-friendly hotel in a beautiful area of Windermere. I slept so comfy in the spacious bed. The efficient check-in process too. Need to add that free wifi worked throughout the property;)))

I had a pleasant stay in a long time. The continental breakfast was a bonus. I got free upgrade and loved it. The service was admirable, just like I expected. Comfortable garden outside.

Don't know any better place than Merewood. We truly enjoyed the amenities, such as a private safe, a work desk and a flat screen TV. Besides, free WiFi in the classic queen room worked very well. The hotel is in the lake district. Also, jenkin crag was 4 km away.

It was worth its 4 stars. All in all, it was good base for travelling to Windermere. It had perfect location...

The rooms are kept tidy and the breakfast is delicious. Not to mention availability of free parking. Apart from that, townend was 5 minutes away by driving.

Best hotel experience. A great selection of restaurants to eat close by, like Brockhole Cafe that was only 5 minutes' walk away.

For us it was ideal.
